NEW DELHI: The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday described the peace agreement signed by Prime Minister of Nepal G.P. Koirala and Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Prachanda as "truly historic and most welcome development" for Nepal and the entire South Asian region. "The agreement will consolidate peace, security and development of Nepal as well as enhance peace and security in the region. A disturbed neighbour is never a conducive factor for security of any country," party president Sharad Yadav said in a statement. Urging the Indian Government to show utmost care in dealing with the positive developments in Nepal, he said the democratic forces in India should, in tune with our tradition, help the process of healing in Nepal.
