Auto unions threaten stir

HYDERABAD: Members of Anti-Auto Digital Meters Struggle Committee, represented by auto unions affiliated to various political parties, will launch an `indefinite strike' from December 1 if the Government insists on fixing digital meters.

The committee members here on Wednesday wanted that the transport officials concentrate more on regulating the existing mechanical auto meters. They sought stringent action against meter repairers involved in meter tampering, according to spokesperson for the committee Amanullah Khan.
