COIMBATORE: School and college students from the districts of Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Erode will be conferred the `Yuva Kala Bharathi' and `Swami Vivekanandar Award' in the last week of December, in their respective districts. According to a release from the Bharathi Yuva Kendra Trust, Madurai, a total of 200 students would be selected for receiving the awards. The Kendra selects school students who excel in the fields of music, education, drawing, sports, social service, dance, elocution and poetry. It awards them the `Yuva Kala Bharathi' award. College students who excel in the same fields receive the `Swami Vivekanandar Award". School and college students who are outstanding in their respective fields can send photocopies of the certificates and prizes they have received to Nellai Balu, Founder, Bharathi Yuva Kendra. G-28, Shanthi Sadan quarters, Kochadai, Madurai - 625016 before December 10.
Envelope
These should be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped (Rs. 10) envelope. Judges belonging to various fields will select suitable candidates who will be given the awards. Those who have been selected to receive either of these awards will be informed through post and given further details.
