GULBARGA: The Veerashaiva Community Trust will celebrate the silver jubilee of the trust along with the birth centenary celebrations of the educationist and freedom fighter Doddappa Appa in Gulbarga on Saturday. Trust chairman and president of the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangh Sharanabasavappa Appa said that the trust was established in 1981 to providing facilities for the people belonging to the community. It had taken up the construction of the kalyan mantap in 1984 on the land allotted by the Government in the city. Apart from conducting marriages of different communities, the mantap is used for conducting cultural programmes and public meetings.
