KURNOOL : Superintendent of Police B. Malla Reddy asked underground extremists to give up considering the trends across the globe and within the country in particular. In a statement, he renewed the invitation to extremists to surrender anywhere- before the SP or villagers or journalists or any police officer of their choice.

He assured the underground cadres that the reward declared on their heads would be given to them in case of surrender and they would be declared "surrendered" before 12 hours and efforts would be made to withdraw cases wherever possible.

Releasing the list of 23 underground cadres of Nallamala division of CPI(Maoist), he appealed to parents and relations of the cadres to counsel them to surrender.
