M.K. Narayanan to hold talks with Karunanidhi

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan is coming to Chennai on Friday to hold talks with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on the situation in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Narayanan, scheduled to arrive here around noon by a defence aircraft from Delhi, will drive to the Secretariat for a one-to-one meeting with the Chief Minister. The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of the planned visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa to New Delhi.

Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon, now in Colombo, will also arrive on Friday to take part in the talks.
