Reliance gas must come to State first, says YSR
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
Chief Secretary J. Harinarayan will hold a meeting with representatives of Reliance Industry on November 29 to work out modalities for supply of the gas struck by the company in K-G basin to the State within a timeframe.
"The gas struck on Andhra soils should come first to us," Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy observed at a high-level meeting here on Thursday to review issues relating to securing Reliance gas for the State.
He is understood to have emphasised on framing a policy which would not allow the price of the cooking gas cylinder beyond Rs. 300.
"The housewife is not in a position to absorb any more hike," he said. Dr. Reddy expressed hope that the KG basin gas would be made available for use by January 2008.
