HYDERABAD: Devender Vaddeti, member, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, has alleged that the police of Maharashtra are biased against the SCs in investigating the Kairlanji murder case . As the police have failed to nab the culprits yet, he has demanded that a DNA test be conducted here to identify them. Talking in a news conference on Thursday, he said that his own enquiries about the incident from villagers had already given him some clues about the culprits. However, it was surprising that the police could not achieve any breakthrough in the investigation. Mr. Devender said the police had acted in a partisan manner in the investigation of the case and the subsequent public outcry. The SCs were the victims in both the cases. The police registered a thousand cases against SC demonstrators in Bhandara, Amaravathi, Sholapur and Nagpur districts.
