CBFC member seeks ban on dubbed serials in Telugu

HYDERABAD: Regional member of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) A.V. Ramana has demanded a ban on dubbed serials in Telugu channels, as local talent is being ignored and left without work.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said thousands of artistes and technicians who depend on the industry for their livelihood were going without work.

The banning of dubbed serials would help them to get employment .

The Government is also losing revenue to the tune of Rs. 100 crores in the form of various taxes every year, he said.
