Actors demand early probe into boy's death

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Kannada film stars, including Vishnuvardharn and Ramesh, on Thursday urged the Government to speed up the investigation into the death of a 12-year-old boy at a residential school near Mandya.

V.R. Bhaskar, father of the student and filmmaker, said that his son was found dead in the dormitory of Bharati Residential School on November 9.

Mr. Bhaskar said his son was badly hit on his eyes and injuries caused by sharp weapon were found on the boy's body. "Despite complaint being given against some of the staff of the school, no action had been taken till now," Mr. Bhaskar said. Mr. Vishuvardhan and Mr. Ramesh asked the Government to solve the mystery. This was necessary to ally the fears of the parents whose children were studying in residential schools, they said.
