Engineering student killed in road accident

HYDERABAD: A third-year engineering student Bharath, 22, was killed and his senior Balamanohar, 24, sustained serious injuries when a lorry hit from behind the motorbike they were riding on the Hayathnagar main road on Thursday.

The accident occurred when the two students were returning home from St. Mary's Engineering College in Deshmukh village of neighbouring Nalgonda district around 3 p.m.

Balamanohar is battling for life in Kamineni hospital.

Hit by RTC bus

An intermediate second year student died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an RTC bus at Janwada near Narsingi on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Praveen Reddy (18) of Narsingi, the police said.
