CHANDIGARH: Haryana Governor A.R. Kidwai said on Thursday that the State had achieved 8.6 per cent economic growth as against 8 per cent by the country. Speaking at a function to formally launch renovation of "Vidkyar Tirath" at Kaithal, he added that Haryana has the highest per capita income among all States. Dr. Kidwai said the State Government was committed to preservation of cultural heritage and historic places. The Kurukshetra Development Board has envisaged an ambitious plan of renovating all the religious places around Kurukshetra. CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said Kaithal had historical importance dating back to the Ramayana era.
