Engineering student killed in road accident

BANGALORE:
An engineering student was killed in a road accident here on Thursday .
The police said Abishek Narayan (21), a fifth semester engineering student of Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, was killed in a hit-and-run case on Bellary Road early on Thursday. Around 5 a.m., a vehicle rammed Narayan's motorcycle near Sanjeevininagar Cross. He was a native of Jamshedpur in Jharkand. Narayan and his brother, a student, were residents of Kumaraswamy Layout here.
Girl dies in accident
Two-year-old Rajeshwari was killed after she came under the wheels of a multi-utility vehicle at Jaraganahalli, off Kanakapura Road, on Wednesday. The police said that around 11 a.m. the driver allegedly ran over Rajeshwari while backing up.
The Jayanagar traffic police have arrested the driver, Srikanth.
