State land taken over

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad district revenue authorities on Wednesday took over two acres and 31 guntas of Government land at Bandlaguda village from an illegal occupant Marri Shankaramma following a High Court verdict, district Collector R.V. Chandravadan said on Wednesday.

In a press release, he said a land grabbing case was registered against the woman in 1988. A special court gave judgement in favour of the Government a year later. The woman filed a writ petition in High Court four years ago but that too was dismissed recently.
