This Day That Age
The Chinese Prime Minister, Mr. Chou En-lai, said in Phnom Penh on November 23 that India had played a distinguished role in restoring peace in Indo-China. She had also provided helpful assistance to develop friendly relations between China and Cambodia. Mr. Chou En-lai was proposing the toast of "world peace" at a colourful party given in his honour by the Indian Charge d'Affaires. Friendly relations between India, China and Cambodia were "to the benefit of the cause of peace in Asia," said Mr. Chou En-lai and proposed toasts to the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Prime Minister Nehru, the King and Queen of Cambodia, Prince Sihanouk and cordial friendship between Cambodia and China.
