Railways in strong position

NEW DELHI: Jai Prakash Yadav dominated the day with the ball to put Railways in a strong position against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy plate group match at the Karnail Singh Stadium here on Friday.

Resuming at 218 for five, Railways made 303 and then skittled Madhya Pradesh out for 158 with Yadav claiming fiver wickets and skipper Sunjoy Bangar four.

The scores: Railways 303 (Jai Prakash Yadav 78, Sushant Manjrekar 36, T. P. Sudhindra four for 95, S.M. Dholpure three for 39, Anand Rajan three for 100) and 15 for one vs Madhya Pradesh 158 (Abbas Ali 65, Jai Prakash Yadav five for 61, Sunjoy Bangar four for 35).
