BANGALORE: Coaches Pradeep Kumar, Robert Bobby George, and Augusto Sabatini, all spoke eloquently at the farewell dinner hosted by the Sports Authority of India (South Centre) for the Doha Asian Games-bound teams at the SAI Centre here on Friday night. "This time around, the South Centre has a good representation and hopefully the returns will be equally good," felt the coaches. While Pradeep, the National swimming coach, was glad with the training facilities at SAI, he warned of the stiff challenge at the Asian-level in swimming. "We will do our best and try and come back with a few medals," he said. Sabatini, the Brazilian volleyball coach, was hopeful of a good show by his boys, while it was Dronacharya A. Ramana Rao, the manager of the volleyball team, who stole the "time" with his long drawn speech, but the message was clear and loud: "We are fighting fit and after the long stint at the camp, our objective is to win a medal, if not the gold itself." Chander Singh, the assistant coach of the volleyball team, did express apprehension on four players not getting accreditation as yet. "But it's a small technical problem and hopefully it will be solved by tomorrow," he said.
