Bangalore: "It is time for us to think `India' — we need `Team India' to take us forward. The Butterfly Park is a symbol of that team," said Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences.

The Union MInister was speaking after inaugurating the Butterfly Park at the Bannerghatta Biological Park here on Saturday. He said the park had helped bring people and experts from various fields together and build something.

"We need to do the same at the global level, as a means to protect the human race," he said.

Minister for Environment and Forests Chennigappa said that instead of preserving our natural resources, we were spoiling it.

He gave away prizes to children who won prizes in the drawing competition organised by ATREE.

Earlier, the dignitaries released butterflies in the conservatory of the park.
