Actor Vishal riding on success

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Actor Vishal has hit a hat trick with the success of `Thimiru', which followed his two earlier hits, `Chellame' and `Sandakozhi'.

He is especially ecstatic over the success of `Sandakozhi', which has run for over 200 days in Chennai.

"`Thimiru' got a dream opening, and is running to packed houses in Andhra Pradesh, where it was released last month. All my films have done remarkably well there."

So, how was it all planned? "I wanted a reasonably good script and a correct time for the release. For instance, `Thimiru' has crossed the 100-days limit, and my next film `Sivappadhigaram' is also just out. It is really a wonderful experience.

"`Sivappadhigaram' is, again, a very good subject, which got a good treatment under director Karu. Pazaniappan," says the actor.

Vishal awaits his next release, `Thamirabarani', directed by Hari.

"Then, I am going to do a film for my brother, Vikram Krishna, which is expected to be out next year. But, the credit for all the planning should go to two persons, my father and my brother, who work hard for my sake. I am enjoying the fruits of their labour."

The 210th day function of `Sandakozhi' is to be held on Sunday evening.
