Software engineer robbed

BANGALORE:
Four persons accosted a software engineer from Chennai and relieved him of his gold chain near Basaveshwaranagar 2nd Cross on Saturday.
According to the police, Sudhakar got off a city bus and was walking down to his relative's house when four people came in two motorcycles and waylaid him. They threatened Sudhakar and took away the chain worth Rs. 12,000.
Loses cash
A person diverted the attention of Armugam, a HAL employee, and escaped with his bag containing Rs. 7 lakh in cash on Suranjandas Road on Saturday.
According to the police, Armugam went to State Bank of India branch and withdrew Rs. 7.4 lakh. He kept Rs. 7 lakh in the bag and the rest in his pocket.
Before he could start his scooter, the person diverted his attention by saying that currency had fallen on the road.
When Armugam went to pick it up, the person ran away with the bag, the police said.
