Staff Reporter

Government has decided to develop patta wastelands

Dharmapuri: The district administration has invited applications from small and marginal farmers for improvement of their patta wastelands.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the District Revenue Officer and Collector (in-charge), R. Small and marginal farmers seeking to develop their patta wastelands should specify their requirements and send in applications to the Tahsildars concerned, who would forward it to the Joint Director of Agriculture.

Works including land reclamation, contour bunding, clearing of bushes, sinking of borewells, soil testing and installation of pumpsets would be carried out.
