TIRUPATI: Tragedy struck a pilgrim party when the tractor-trailer in which they were returning home after offering prayers in the Boyakonda Gamgamma temple near Punganur, capsized and rolled down a valley resulting in the death of nine persons. According to information reaching here, all the victims belonged to the same family. . Sources said that the accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control. While seven died on the spot, Prameela (35) and Ramesh (40) died after they were rushed to the Government hospital, Punganur. Among the dead were six women. Of the 16 others injured, four stated to be in critical condition, have been rushed to the Government hospital, Madanapalle.
