Cadets come out in flying colours

TIRUNELVELI: A colourful parade was conducted by the NCC cadets from various schools and colleges in view of `NCC day celebrations' held at VOC Grounds in Palayamkottai on Sunday.

The programme was jointly organised by 5 Tamil Nadu NCC Battalion, 3rd Women Battalion and 9th Signal Company.

The Speaker, R. Avudaiyappan, took the salute from the NCC cadets, led by NCC Officer of MDT Hindu College, Lt. Kumaresan. The cadets, drawn from Senior Division (2 company), Junior Division (5 company) and

Junior Wing (1 company), pledged to fight against bribe and not to demand dowry.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirunelveli Range, Kanhu Charan Mahali, the Corporation Commissioner, T. Mohan, the Commanding Officer, 5 Tamil Nadu NCC Battalion, J.K. Nair, Administrative

Officer, 5 Tamil Nadu NCC Battalion, V.K. Nair and others participated.
