Mani Shankar Aiyar's daughter weds

New Delhi: Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar's daughter Yamini and Congress leader S. Krishnakumar's son Adarsh tied the nuptial knot at a low-key private function here on Sunday.

Adarsh and Yamini got married at a simple and private ceremony on Sunday morning attended only by family and close friends at Mr. Aiyar's 14, Akbar Road residence, family sources said.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri and Education Minister Hamida Khurro, the former Sri Lanka President, Chandrika Kumaratunga, Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and BJP leader Arun Shourie were among the dignitaries who attended the function. Media was kept away from the ceremony, as the family wanted it to be a quiet affair, the sources said.
