Sucha Singh, Sunny slam centuries

Hyderabad: Sucha Singh (105 not out) and Sunny (101) helped Manchester defeat St. Mary's CC by 118 runs in the `A' Division one-day league cricket championship here.

The scores:

`A' Division one-day league: Manchester CC 303 for six (Sucha Singh 105 not out, Sunny 101, Ruman 30, Sai Nath four for 56) bt St. Mary's CC 185 (Sai 45, Nagarjun 30, Kaushik 30, Aleem six for 40).

Khursheed Jah CC 226 for eight (Zameeruddin 111, Md. Abed 52 not out, Rahul three for 36) lost to Sultan Shahi CC 230 for four (Raju 43, Keerthi Kumar 56, Umesh 56, Rahul 32 not out).

MP Sporting CC 138 (Tej Singh 46, Subbu Raj 46, Anand four for 57) lost to Walker Town CC 140 for one (Ayappa 75 not out, Sohail Khan 52 not out).

`A' Division institutional league: APCOB 89 (Sambasiva Rao 46, Nataraj four for 22) lost to HAL 190 for three (Kamlesh 31).

Double for Prabhav

P. Prabhav bagged a double in the boys' under-14 section of the KEI Group-sponsored AITA Talent series tennis tournament, organised by the Sanjay Tennis Academy, which concluded here on Sunday.

In singles, Prabhav beat S.M. Abdullah 6-1, 6-3 and teamed up with Rishi Verma to beat Rishab Agarwal and T. Nihal 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

Girls: Under-14 singles: Zainab Ali Sajjad bt B. Sravya Reddy 6-1, 6-0; Doubles: Sravya Reddy & M. Spoorthy bt A. Mrinalini & G. Urmila 6-2, 6-4.

Hat-trick by Suraj

and Yousuf

Suraj's hat-trick helped Valerian Grammar School drub Model Mission School 5-0 in the inter-school football tournament, for the Sudhakar memorial Trophy, at the Trimulgherry Village Grounds here. Joshua and Sushil Kumar were the other scorers.

In another match, St. Patrick's School defeated St. Michael's School 5-2 with Alloysius (2), Kunal, Prasanna and Nihal doing the scoring. For the loser, Sumit and Sravan reduced the margin.

In the other matches, St. Andrews `A' recorded a 3-0 win against St. Joseph's School, thanks to a hat-trick by Yousuf.

Government Boys School (TVG) scored a 3-1 win against St. Andrews `B' with Servin (2) and Arun (1) being the scorers. Vatsa scored the consolation goal St. Andrews `B'.
