Fines and suspensions

MYSORE: The stewards of the Mysore Race Club suspended Md. Yasin, rider of Streak Of Fire from December 3 to 23 for unsatisfactory riding in the first division of the Gadag Plate (1,200m) held on Wednesday (Nov. 22). However he has been permitted to ride work.

In the second division of the above race M. Krishna, declared rider of Dual Alliance was fined Rs.2,000 for failing to arrive to fulfil his riding engagement.

In the B.R. Hills Plate (Div. I) Md. Kareem, rider of Right Status, was fined Rs.1,000 for excessive use of whip (first infringement).

In the Sharavathi Plate (1,200m) Melvyn Maseyk, rider of Golden Kiss, and A. Velu, rider of Airworthy, were fined Rs.3,000 and Rs.2,000 respectively for not making sufficient efforts on their mounts. And Guruprasad, rider of Clueless Puzzle, was fined Rs.1,000 for excessive use of whip (first infringement).

In the Thungabhadra Cup (1,400m) M. Suresh, rider of Pied Piper, was fined Rs.1,000 for causing interference to Sharp N Smart (Gnaneshwar up) approaching 1,300m, and he was also suspended by the Stewards from Dec. 3 to 23 for unsatisfactory riding, but was permitted to ride work.

The Stewards have also suspended Maseyk, rider of Cold War, in the Lt. Col. C. Rudrappa Memorial Plate (1,600m) for the above period for the same reason, and have permitted him to ride work.

Mr. Chetan, trainer of San Gimminano, was fined Rs.10,000 for violating the rule pertaining to carrying of identification — saddle cloth with numbers on horses on the track, Oct. 8 and for his improper behaviour in the premises of the Racecourse.

B. Shiva, trainer of Thrill Of Success was also suspended Dec.12 Jan. 16 (both days inclusive) for the above reason in respect of his charge on (Nov. 9).

The Trainer's licence of Mr. Sandhu was suspended with effect form Dec. 2 Jan. 1 (both days inclusive) for furnishing incorrect particulars in a mock race held on Oct. 12 in respect of his charges Freaky Chakra and Tintarino.

The Stewards have also suspended the Trainer's licence of Mr. Ranjeet Shinde for the above period and fined him Rs.15,000 for infringement of medication rules as contained in the BTC Calendar Notification in respect of his charge On Her Toes.
