Mumbai : Jeev Milkha Singh, winner of the Asian Tour Order of Merit 2006, is the epitome of a sportsperson demonstrating `determination' and India has to be proud of the achievements of Jeev, Arjun Atwal, Jyoti Randhawa, Shiv Kapur and Gaurav Ghei said cricketing great Kapil Dev. "It's been fantastic news these days for Indian golf. With limited facilities they have excelled, showing their skill and ability. "We should learn from Jeev, who has shown strong will and determination for many years," he said. Kapil said that creation of golf courses for the public and corporate support would go a long way in the development of the sport in India. "Many youngsters are taking up golf because they feel they can make a living out of golf. It's a true professional sport because an individual plays it. Support from family is also extremely important". "The PGAI promoted golf for ten years, but it's best was not good enough. I would welcome anything that's good for golf.''
