Rohtak: D. Kalyanakrishna and K.S. Shahbuddin shared nine wickets between them and bowled Andhra to a convincing 114-run victory over host Haryana in their Super League Ranji Trophy match on Sunday. Chasing a target of 242 on the final day, Haryana's batting collapsed and from the overnight position of 92 for three, it was dismissed for a mere 127. The overnight batsmen Shafiq Khan and Sachin Rana fell early to Kalyanakrishna. Shahbuddin then sliced through the middle order, nabbing the wickets of M. Rawat and S. Verma, both for nought. Joginder Sharma offered token resistance towards the end, but his 20 was not enough for Haryana to escape defeat. The scores: Super Division: At Rohtak: Andhra 202 and 168 bt Haryana 129 and 127 in 67.2 overs (K.S. Shahbuddin four for 37, D. Kalyanakrishna five for 41). At New Delhi: Tamil Nadu 347 and 66 for two in 25 overs drew with Delhi 491 for seven decl. (S. Dhawan 106, R. Bhatia 166, V. Dahiya 152, V. Yomahesh four for 136). At Kanpur: Saurashtra 342 and 272 for six (Sitanshu Kothak 118 n.o., Cheteshwar Pujara 71, Pratik S. Mehta 42) drew with UP 450. At Karad: Hyderabad 385 drew with Maharashtra 221 in 94.3 overs (H.H. Khadiwale 40, D.S. Jadhav 66, H.H. Kanitkar 45, P. Ojha six for 84).
