AP beats Kerala

THRISSUR: Two goals by Prasanjit Banerji helped Andhra Pradesh defeat host Kerala 2-1 in the junior National football championship's South Zone league at the Sree Kerala Varma College Ground here on Sunday evening. The goals came in the 10th and 20th minutes. Riyad scored Kerala's consolation goal in the 39th minute, through a penalty.

The victory was Andhra Pradesh's first from three matches, while Kerala has won one game and lost two. — Principal Correspondent
