Competitions for mentally challenged

Hyderabad: The Aathmeeya Manasika Vikasa Kendram will organise sports and cultural competitions for mentally challenged children on November 30 to mark its 13th anniversary.

Competitions will be held in running race, shot-put, painting, drawing, waste re-use, quiz and dance for mild and moderate children. For severely affected children, competitions will be held in picnic basket and softball throw and for cerebral palsy children in 15-metre walk.

On the occasion, Aathmeeya Pratibha Puraskar awards will be presented to 12 mentally challenged children of 20 years and above. Details can be had from K. Narsimha Rao, executive director, Aathmeeya, on phone no. 9848468782.
