NEW DELHI: A leading businessman running a dye manufacturing and printing factory in Shakti Nagar by the name Unique Stamping has been booked by New Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) enforcement wing for direct theft of 42.34 kW load of electricity. A penalty of Rs. 32 lakhs has been imposed on the accused. The dye manufacturing and printing factory had been illegally drawing power for the past three years by tapping into the NDPL main line that was entering the premises through the wall. He had carefully camouflaged the wire inside the wall and plastered it to prevent detection.
