NALGONDA: Home Minister K. Jana Reddy inaugurated the three-day district-level science fair at Halia, his home turf, on Monday. Appreciating the administration for choosing Halia as the venue for the fair, the Home Minister said teachers should strive hard to bring out hidden talent among children studying in rural areas.
200 schools
District Education Officer (in-charge) G. A. Hemanath said that 200 schools across the district were participating in the fair. Over 450 exhibits were on display at the science fair and more than 2,500 students took part on the first day, he added. "The response for the fair is overwhelming. It can help create scientific temper among children across the district," he said. Zilla Parishad chairperson Kasireddy Narayana Reddy and Munugode MLA Palla Venkat Reddy also took part in the inaugural function.
