Mumbai: The Indo-German Chamber Of Commerce (IGCC) in association with the RWITC briefed the media on Tuesday, that for the first time it was sponsoring the entire day's races on Dec. 3. The IGCC has contributed Rs. 14.50 lakhs towards the stakesmoney and trophy. In addition it is bringing to Mumbai its own "Christmas Fest" as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations which will be held on Dec. 2 and 3. There will be a contest of skill to attract the punters on Dec. 3 with the first prize being a return ticket to Europe sponsored by Panalpina. A host of other prizes will be given by Hotel Le Meridien. Mr. Vivek Jain, Chairman, Marketing, Media & Public Relations Working Group of RWITC said: "The Indo-German day is a landmark for the Club, making it the first time ever that seven international companies have sponsored a full day's card. The Christmas Fest in conjunction with our racing is another first. We hope this is the precursor of a grand association" Mr. Peter Deubet, Deputy General, Indo-German Chamber Of Commerce stated: "The Indo-German Chamber and its associates Audi, BASF, Dusseldorf International Airport, ITB, Panalpina and Sixt Car Rental are extremely happy to bring this Christmas fest and carnival".
