KADAPA: Helen Keller's High School for the Deaf here conducted elocution competitions for the physically challenged students and patriotic songs contest for visually challenged students on Tuesday. In the elocution competitions on `Clean surroundings for safeguarding health' held at ZP Girls' High School, Chinnachowk, Sobha topped in the seniors category followed by Yasoda. In the juniors category, Vijayalakshmi stood first and Subbamma second, school correspondent P. Dowlat Khan said. In patriotic songs contest conducted at Government Boys' High School for Blind, G. Subhan was adjudged best followed by Manjunath. Chandrasekhar and Nageswari and Peddanna and Kalyani were toppers in juniors and sub-junior category respectively. The winners will be given prizes and certificates on International Day of Disabled on December 3.
