States urged to step up anti-terrorism fight

Special Correspondent

Puducherry: Chief Whip of the Congress in Rajya Sabha V. Narayanasamy said that the Centre alone could not eradicate terrorism and anti-national activity.

State Governments should coordinate with the Centre to ensure that terrorist activity was eliminated. In a release here on Tuesday, Mr. Narayanasamy said that he had made the point during a deliberation at the Harish Chandra Memorial National Seminar in New Delhi on Saturday. He said that terrorism should be totally uprooted so that the country could make a concerted progress in all sectors.

He also said that the Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi were zealous about making India an economically powerful nation.
