Sanjay Dutt's co-actor declines comment
Mumbai:
While most of Sanjay Dutt's co-actors in the blockbuster "Lage Raho Munnabhai" reacted with relief to his conviction on Tuesday on the lesser charge of possessing arms, the man who played the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the film preferred to keep mum.
Dilip Prabhawalkar, who essayed the role, said, "I do not want to comment."
"I am busy. I have to rush to a shooting," he told PTI when asked for his views on Mr. Dutt being cleared of terrorism charges while being convicted by a TADA court under the Arms Act in the 1993 serial blasts case.
Munnabhai, Sanjay's character, is inspired by Bapu to undertake the mission of helping others.
Big relief, says Boman Irani
Boman Irani, who played the unscrupulous builder Lucky Singh in the film, said, "Sanjay has suffered a lot, and the court's verdict [clearing him] on TADA charges has come as a big relief to him."
