Andhra Bank to increase coverage in rural areas

Staff Reporter

  • Andhra Bank adopts Lohara tribal village in Indervelli mandal
  • The bank stands second in the district in agriculture lending

ADILABAD: Through its month-long `AB festive 06', the Andhra Bank has sought low cost deposit mobilisation in Adilabad district through current and savings accounts until December 16.

It is also pursuing its service objective by increased coverage of rural areas, an example being adoption of Lohara tribal village in Indervelli mandal.

The bank's Deputy General Manager A.S. Prabhakar and Adilabad Chief Manager M. Gopala Krishna told reporters here on Tuesday that `AB festive 06' was a one-stop shop wherein value added products and services would be available to the public.

All branches in the district as well in the Karimnagar zone would conduct door-to-door campaign and organise customers meet to highlight salient features of various products offered by the bank, they said.

The bank has adopted the tribal village in order to cater to the needs of the village concerning financial assistance and other logistical support in future.
