Campaign to spread Islamic family values

KANNUR: The Jamat-e-Islami will launch a 10-day campaign to propagate the moral and legal aspects of Islamic family system among the public as part of its national drive.

Jamat district president U.P. Siddikh said here on Tuesday that the former judge P.K. Shamsuddin would inaugurate the district campaign at the Chamber Hall here on December 1. The campaign would include family gatherings at various centres, women's conferences, study classes, interactions and distribution of pamphlets, among others.

Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy would inaugurate the district-level women's conference here on December 9, he said. K.T. Jaleel, MLA, and the former Education Minister E.T. Mohammed Basheer would participate at the valedictory function at Thalassery on December 10.
