VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Finance and Health K. Rosaiah, TDPP leader K. Yerran Naidu and State BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya blamed one another at separate press conferences here on Tuesday for the present controversy over pictorial warning on beedi packs. Stoutly denouncing Mr. Yerran Naidu's claim that he (TDPP leader) neither supported nor rejected the Bill when it was tabled in Parliament for discussion, Mr. Rosaiah said he would stand by his statement that Mr. Yerran Naidu, while expressing apprehensions over the Bill that it would disturb living of millions of families, concluded his speech saying "I support the Bill". If the concluding words of Mr. Yerran Naidu was not in the LS proceedings in 2003 "I will quit politics and never enrol as a member in any political party in future," Mr. Rosaiah said. Later, he obtained fax copy of the LS proceedings 2003 from New Delhi to substantiate his claim. He said that the order on warning sign on beedi packs would not come into force from February 1 next year.
