Justice V.K. Jain sworn in

Justice Vijender Kumar Jain being administered the oath of office and secrecy by Haryana Governor A.R. Kidwai as new Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court at a function at Haryana Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Chandigarh: Justice Vijender Kumar Jain was on Tuesday sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court at a ceremony held at Haryana Raj Bhawan here.

Justice Jain was administered the oath of office by Haryana Governor A.R. Kidwai at a ceremony attended by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Judges of the High Court and several ministers in Punjab and Haryana governments.

Justice Jain, who served as a Judge in the Delhi High Court before being appointed Chief Justice, takes over from Justice D.K. Jain, now a Judge in the Supreme Court. Justice V.K. Jain was recently invited by Thai Supreme Court to share his experience to help in setting up of Green Benches in Thailand.
