HASSAN: Hassan Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer F.R. Jamaadar, who inaugurated the KSRTC divisional-level drama festival at Kala Bhavan here on Monday night, quoted Shakespeare that all life was stage and every person an actor. Recalling the famous words of Kalidasa "Kaavyeshu natakam ramyam" meaning among all forms of literature, drama is the best. In drama, unlike in films, the actor and the audience come in direct contact. Theatre helped an artist emote better and show his talent. Karnataka State Nataka Academy member Chandru Kanehalli regretted that Kannadigas did not encourage Kannada theatre unlike the people in Maharashtra. KSRTC Central Office Chief Welfare Officer S.R. Kalyan Kumar presided over the function.
