HYDERABAD : Several express trains on the South Central Railway have been upgraded to superfast category while most existing express trains will run faster than before, cutting down on the running time. These are some of the salient features of the new railway timetable that will come into force from December 1. Another highlight is the extension of No 2747 Palnadu Express (leaving Guntur) upto Vikarabad. The Secunderabad - Manmad - Secunderabad train No. 7064/7063 will henceforth be called `Ajanta Express' while first class air-conditioned accommodation will be provided in Train Nos. 7058/7057 Secunderabad - Mumbai CST - Secunderabad Devagiri Expresses. The timings of 47 important express and passenger trains have been changed due to various reasons, mainly reduction in running time up to two-and-a-half hours. They include New Delhi- bound AP Express, Chennai-bound Charminar, Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express, Bangalore - Guwahati, Ernakulam - Patna, Secunderabad - Guwahati, Trivandrum - Nizamuddin and Ernakulam - Nizamuddin, Tiruchirapalli - Howrah, Bilaspur - Chennai, Visakhapatnam - Nizamuddin Swarna Jayanthi, Cape - Nizamuddin and Madurai - Nizamuddin expresses. The SCR has requested passengers to check the new timings and other details from the railway enquiry to avoid inconvenience. The timings of several MMTS trains and DHMU services in the State capital have also been revised.
