Rajya Sabha lauds women boxers' feat

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday lauded the performance of the Indian team at the recent World Women's Boxing Championship here.

Making a mention during zero hour, Sushma Swaraj (BJP) said the Government should give employment in police or the Army to four winners in the championship. "We are so enamoured of some games that we fail to acknowledge the achievements in other games. In this case, the boxers said that they had a difficult time finding sponsors. The Government should take steps to help them."
