BANGALORE: A three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a 50-year-old man in Kamakshipalya police station limits. The incident took place on Saturday evening. According to police, the victim is the daughter of a construction worker hailing from Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. The family of the construction worker and their relatives live in separate huts on a vacant land on KHB Colony Main Road in Kamakshipalya police station limits. On Saturday evening, Kannan (50) allegedly took the girl to a secluded area near the huts and sexually abused her, the police said. Kannan is the maternal uncle of the girl's mother. After her parents returned home from work, the girl complained of pain. The same night they left to Villupuram. As the girl was still writhing in pain, her parents took her to a doctor in Villupuram. After medical examination they learnt that she had been sexually abused. The couple returned to Bangalore on Monday and lodged a complaint with the police. The Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and are on the lookout for Kannan.
Man murdered
Jayaram (35), a lorry driver, was allegedly bludgeoned to death in Yelahanka New Town police station limits on Monday night. Police said the incident took place around 11 p.m. at LBS Nagar. Jayaram and his friend Shankara (26), a cashier in a hotel, quarrelled over a mobile phone. Shankara hit Jayaram with a club. When he fell on the ground, Shankara allegedly smashed his head with a boulder, police said.
