CISF Sub-Inspector ends life

A Sub-Inspector of Central Industrial Security Force, N. Venkanna, 57, committed suicide by hanging in his quarters here at Mallelaguda on Monday night. No suicide note was found, Alwal Sub-Inspector Ch. Satish Reddy said.

Two women commit suicide

A 21-year-old woman who attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Venkatnagar in Alwal on November 22, died while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi hospital on Monday. R. Girija, reportedly took the extreme step as she was unable to grapple with the alleged dowry harassment by her in-laws. In another incident, a woman succumbed to injuries at Gandhi hospital on Monday. K. Sabitha, (30), immolated herself at her house at Parthiwada in Sitaphalmandi on November 23. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she died on Monday.

Killed in accidents

A 34-year-old man died after the car in which he was travelling was hit by a lorry at Hayathnagar on Tuesday. The victim, P. Ravi Kumar, was a resident of Kothapet. In a separate incident, an APTransco lineman , Mohammed Jahangir , was killed after the scooter he was riding was knocked down by a van near his house at Phoolbagh on Monday.

Body found

The body of a man aged around 35 was found on a pavement at Bahadurpura on Tuesday. The man, who is yet to be identified, was clad in grey trousers and same colour shirt.
