THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Oushadi, an Ayurvedic Specialtiy Centre of the State Government, would conduct a free diabetic detection camp at its office at Konniyoor Lane in Sasthamangalam on December 3, a press release said here Tuesday.

Several injured in clash

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several persons, including school children, were injured when a group of persons suspected to be Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activists attacked a few students of the Government Higher Secondary School at Pakalkuri in Pallickal police station limits on Tuesday evening. Some DYFI workers, who tried to stop the attackers, were also injured. The DYFI has called for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in the area. The police have been deployed in strength to prevent any further escalation of violence. — Staff Reporter

AIYF worker injured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 28-year-old activist of the All India Youth Front was attacked by a group of unidentified persons at Paravilakom, near Ulloor, in Medical College police station limits on Tuesday. The police identified the injured person as Anoop alias Anil Kumar of Ulloor Gardens. He has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. The local police have registered a case. — Staff Reporter

Kerala police duty meet

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Police Duty meet, aimed at testing the investigative and other policing skills of Police Department personnel, will be held in the city from December 2 to 4. The meet would test the skills of policemen in carrying out scientific investigation, anti-sabotage checks, finger printing, portrait lifting etc. Inspector General of Police, Crime Branch, Rishi Raj Singh, and Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Manoj Abraham, will over see the conduct of the meet, a press release said here on Tuesday. — Staff Reporter
