HYDERABAD: Just before he embarked on his two-day election campaign to Karimnagar, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had a `dress rehearsal' on Wednesday at his camp office, where 30-odd beedi workers from Sircilla gathered to explain their woes. He discussed the adverse impact the printing of the mandatory health warning on beedi packs would have on their livelihoods. The Congress would not allow it to happen, he said displaying the written assurance of the AICC in this regard. Tracing the genesis of the problem, he told them the TDP and the BJP were responsible for the crisis by introducing a Bill in Parliament.
