Dehra Dun: Two men believed to be having links with the Chhota Rajan gang were shot dead by the Uttar Pradesh Police in a gun battle in Uttaranchal's Nanital on Wednesday, police officials said.

Rohit Sharma alias Vicky, a sharp-shooter of the Santosh Shetty group that is part of Rajan's gang and a native of Allahabad, was killed with accomplice Mahendra Jaiswal this morning, a police official in Mumbai said.

Vicky, 26, was wanted for shootouts in Thane district, including a recent attempt on the life of Kalyan Dombivili Municipal Corporation's opposition leader Ramesh Mhatre.
