"Shameful"

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has come in for criticism once again with the Congress party on Wednesday taking serious umbrage at her kiss with Biocon India chief Kiran Mazumdar Shaw in Delhi recently during the India Economic Summit 2006. The Congress leadership had been very critical of Ms.Raje's walk on the ramp here last week during a Bibi Russel show to promote khadi. "The Chief Minister's act has been shameful, to say the least," PCC vice president Raghu Sharma told journalists here. "The whole State is scandalized with her acts in public. First was this catwalk in Bangalore, followed by another in Jaipur. Now a lip locking kiss," he said referring to the picture of Ms.Raje and Ms.Shaw, which appeared in some local and national dailies.

"Ms.Raje has crossed all limits of public mis-conduct. She should be ashamed of her act. It is surprising that the BJP leadership, which swears by Indian culture, does not restrain her," Dr.Sharma observed. He demanded the resignation of Ms.Raje.
