No relief to shops in DDA flats: Panel
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI:
The Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee on Wednesday told the Municipal Corporation of Delhi that there was no question of giving relief to traders operating illegally from the Delhi Development Authority flats across the Capital.
The Monitoring Committee discussed the matter with senior DDA officials who clarified that as per the lease deed signed by flat owners, they cannot carry out any commercial activities and all shops operating from its housing projects were illegal. The Monitoring Committee has told senior Municipal Corporation of Delhi officials that all shops, irrespective of whether they fall on notified roads or not, will be sealed.
